Focus

Hannah Chan works with stakeholders across Southeast Asia and Japan to help shape the legal and financial frameworks needed for a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy.  She supports ClientEarth's corporate and finance initiatives in the region, with a focus on directing capital toward sustainable transition goals and advancing related policies and governance reforms.

Hannah joined ClientEarth in February 2026 and is based in Manila.

Experience

Hannah specialises in public policy and sustainable finance across emerging markets. She has worked on integrity and governance initiatives with multilateral development banks and has experience in investment diligence and project finance assessment in the energy sector. Previously, she advised the Office of the President of the Philippines on legal and policy reforms affecting state‑owned corporations and broad socioeconomic priorities.

Education

Hannah holds an MBA from Georgetown University, where she was a Forté scholar and specialized in Sustainable Business and Global Real Estate. She obtained her JD from the University of the Philippines, and is qualified to practice in the Philippines.
